Meet the Speakers
This event will be moderated by your very own Mrs. Shenee Omuso who is the Education Director of The Opportunity League. The amazing Dr. Jamila Davis will start the day as our keynote motivational speaker. Rounding out this awesome group Darrell Edmonds, the Executive Director of The Give Something Back Foundation, will present an opportunity for students to receive a special room, board, and tuition scholarship!

Grades4life offers technology and programs to help motivate youth towards higher achievements. Through collaboration and partnerships, Grades4life offers a solution designed to connect communities through education.
Our goal is to serve as a model for a focus on well-rounded youth and citizens by encouraging active participation in socially conscious causes and volunteerism. Through partnerships and collaboration, we are able to get everyone involved with helping everyone get a better grade for life.

Next Steps College Prep Program prepares students to have the character, confidence and capability to enter and thrive at the college level and have a solid financial plan for paying for college.
In 2020 our 8 seniors graduated from the program and received over $280,000 in college scholarships and were all accepted to 4 year institutions!Â
Our program is designed to:
CREATE LEADERS:Â We incorporate unique student-led projects on educational policy and civic/community engagement
CULTIVATE SCHOLARS:Â We provide academic enrichment opportunities for students to submit a competitive SAT/ACT score and GPA
CONNECT FAMILIES:Â We engage and empower families by equipping them with college readiness tools, resources and information.
