On March 5th 2022, VILLAGES Community Marketplace celebrated its Groundbreaking Ceremony in Burlington County. There were many speakers at the event to celebrate the milestone for The Opportunity League. VILLAGES Community Marketplace started in 2019, and is now a local grocery store for the community. It is to aid the community through obstacles of employment, education, and fresh affordable food.
Amazon is proud of the groundbreaking companies within the community, like TOL, that have helped everyone come together to make a change and increase a positive outlook.
Seigha Omuso, Founder and Executive Director, The Opportunity League, has expressed gratitude for all of the organizations that have assisted in making the VILLAGES Community Marketplace become a reality. The center will create many positive opportunities for the local communities, as a result, of all of these amazing organizations taking a part in this journey to create something special for the community.
Amazon donated $50,000.00 to The Opportunity League to support the ceremony!
